Winter Blast Skeet and SC January 21, 2024

22 Jan by Coach David Mason

TEAM,
It was COLD.

We shot the Winter Blast at Ellis County this weekend and did great considering the circumstances. The Sporting Clays course was set up harder than I have ever seen. Low 60mm short flights going away True pairs! Tree to tree windows of 10 feet. Chandel after Chandel. Quoting a wise man, “Whoever set up this course does not like kids!”

On the flip side I would say the Skeet fields were throwing the most consistent and least wind blown targets we have seen at Ellis.

We had several all time best scores and two First Place Medal recipients! DEAN GALLAHER shot an amazing 97 to win FIRST PLACE in JV division. CLARK HAPP shot a personal best and very impressive 87 to Win FIRST PLACE in Intermediate Advanced. Over all our scores earned us 4th place team, just out of the trophies.
